How To Make Micro Sim For iPhone 4/iPad (DIY)

Upon having my iPhone 4 three days ago I had to result to DIY to use the phone. I know you can buy sim cutter but I don't want to because I will never use it again and it will just be a waste of money.

So here we go... Now first we have to know the measurements on the micro sim. Not all sim card are the same, the metal part comes in different sizes depending on its capability or the time you've been having it.

micro sim measurements: width = 12mm length = 15mm

Let's start the fun.

These are the tools I used to make my life easier, the most important is the Blade 11 surgical knife or the equivalent. I never use scissors cause they can ruin your sim if you are not careful in cutting and they don't give precision cut. Measure 1mm from the 3 sides of the sim excluding the curved side. Use the tip of your cutting device as a marker not a pen or a pencil if you want a precise cut. After making a line on the sides, now measure 15mm/1.5cm form the bottom of the sim after the 1mm measurement and cut. Now for the curve side. Now file the edges, I used fine metal files but you can also use fine sandpaper. Don't over do it and occasionally put in the sim tray to achieve a perfect fit. And now the fitting, also take a look the metal plate they are different, the Globe sim it quite old and the O2 sim is more recent but it still works. You can now test the sim card, if it works----well done and enjoy but, if doesn't then just do it again.

You Are My Boss

A new President, a new government? I doubt it---- I maybe a doubting Thomas but I am no stupid. To start-- who is Pres. Aquino? What has he done? What kind of leader is he?---- Noynoy Aquino is what I call a modernized traditional politician no difference at all to the rest of the politicians in the Philippines who suck the blood of the country in corruption like a hybrid leech without contentment. During his inaguaral speech Aquino inspired the masses, awaken the snoozing Filipino political interest, re-captured the imagination of a new and better country and most of all scared the hell out of the corrupt incumbent politician infact some resigned before his first podium engagement.

As he utter the words "kayo ang boss ko" you are my boss, the cacophony of peoples enthusiasms displayed in shouting, chanting and hand clapping echoed to the rest of the world where every Filipino can hear. It was a very simple yet strong and powerful words a very precise words constructed by Aquino to make an impact and get the people's attention.

Aquino has a very difficult job to do--no doubt. But with the people behind him it should make him stronger. He act as an example, act like a normal citizen by using his common sense of changing some traffic rules that's been irritating commuters for ages----people was impressed.

Personally I wasn't able to vote nor vote for Noy noy but that is beside the point, we have a new President now, we have a new hope and a new inspiration for a better Philippines.

The era of rampant corruption has come to an end ( Gloria Arroyo ), the transition has started --- awaiting is the nation building from scratch. All the aspirations and changes that we eagerly been dreaming hopefully will materialize this time for the Filipinos and the Philippines. These will not happen overnight and there is no magic potion either. That's why I am still a doubter, but i would love to be proven wrong.

iOs4 Software Unlock Carrier Logo Fix on 3gs

Now, as the movement continues for freedom---iPhone freedom. The Dev Team released their their tools for jailbreaking and unlock at the same time with some caution regarding your baseband status.

The issue for me happened as normal after jailbreaking. I used Pwnage 4.01 for my 3gs on ios4. Pwnage has an unknown big that will vanished the carrier logo be it hactivated or not. I tried both to confirm--- making CFW for iOs4 and indees the same result.

Let say you're on legit network, and you've used CFW for iOs4-- activated through iTunes. Everything well fine, except the carrier logo, you can make calls and all so it's not a problem after all, or you can use "Make it Mine" utility from cydia to kind of fix it. But, behind your head you know that it was'nt the case.

This is my first time to experienced this carrier logo disappearance, now the ultimate fix of that issue is to install "Ultrasn0w" the very light injection of codes to unluck you iPhone. Even if you uninstall untrasn0w after the carrier logo fix it will stay like that.

Kudos as always to the Dev Team for their hardwork and dedication for the iPhone community.
